This safari covers two of the premier parks in Zambia – The South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi plus Livingstone, home to the spectacular Victoria Falls. The Luangwa Valley, which marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa.

Day 1: Livingstone

On arrival at Livingstone International Airport a representative from Stanley Safaris will meet you and transfer you to the lodge (20 mins), where you will settle into your accommodation. Stanley Safari Lodge is located on the hills overlooking the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls in a bush location. Accommodation is in 10 uniquely designed chalets that are constructed of teak and local stone and are open fronted or more colonial style brick and tiled rooms which are closed. Each with a private balcony ensuring spectacular views overlooking the Zambezi River and suites has plunge pools.

Day 2: Livingstone

There is a wide range of activities on offer in the area that can be booked at the lodge; these include trips to see the falls, town museums and markets and sunset cruises. For the more adventurous, Livingstone boasts a whole host of adrenaline filled activities including whitewater rafting, bungee jumping and micro lighting. Or you may just wish to rest in camp and enjoy the spectacular scenery and peaceful atmosphere. The day will end with a relaxed dinner and perhaps drinks in the wine cellar.

Day 3: Lower Zambezi

You will be transferred this morning by vehicle to Livingstone Airport to connect with your onward flight via Lusaka to Jeki Airstrip. On arrival you will be transferred to Amanzi Bush Camp. The name "Amanzi" means water in the local Tonga language and with the intimate position on the Zambezi proves a fitting name. The camp consists of 4 tents each with two double beds on a raised teak deck. The tents have an indoor shower and bathroom, as well as a private sitting area and balcony overlooking the Zambezi. The camp is intimate yet private with the tents generously spaced and connected with a raised walkway to the main area. The main area offers stunning views of the mosaic of islands that are home to a group of majestic elephant bulls. The main area leads down to the pool deck which sits on the Zambezi River bank. Enjoy an afternoon game drive or boat trip.

Day 4: Lower Zambezi

A full day to enjoy the mighty Zambezi River experience. Lower Zambezi is great for water based activities that include canoeing, boating and fishing with game drives and walking for you to choose from. You therefore have a full range of activities on offer. Tiger fishing (on a catch and release basis) is a must for keen fishermen.

Day 5: Lower Zambezi

Another full day to enjoy the mighty Zambezi River experience with choice of canoeing, boating, fishing, game drives and walking.

Day 6: Luangwa

Today you will head off to your last destination in Zambia, the renowned South Luangwa National Park. Transfer will be a flight via Lusaka and onto Mfuwe Airport where you will be met and transferred to Luangwa River Camp, through colourful village life. The five room camp is situated opposite the Luangwa Wafwa (a game rich area of the park) in the Upper Lupande Game Management Area. It offers all the creature comforts of a camp yet with all the intimacy, tailored activities and flexible mealtimes you come to expect from a bush camp. The camp is unique with its décor of locally crafted and handmade details. The main area is elevated between 1-3 metres on wooden decks affording great views to the park and river. The swimming pool is sunk into the deck, linked by a waterfall. Depending on your arrival time you may settle in for some lunch, siesta then off on an afternoon safari activity. There is an option to turn back after sundowners or continue to see what nocturnals you can spot, returning to camp by 8 pm.

Day 7: Luangwa

The next day will be spent as you wish – an option is there to take a walking activity or game drive; or even both. For those with a knack for shopping can take a trip to Tribal Textiles for locally printed fabrics which are sewn into various items – perfect for souvenirs or gifts for friends and family. Perhaps a trip to Kawaza Village to experience an authentic Zambian village, interact with the locals and even sample a local meal. Nothing is set in stone; you can discuss your specific interests with your guide.
