On arrival at Victoria Falls airport you will be met by our Meet and Greet team and transferred to the lovely Palm River Hotel for the next two nights to settle in. The Palm River Hotel introduces a new dimension of unparalleled luxury without compromising a sense of home comfort. This afternoon enjoy a Zambezi Sundowner Cruise, a superb way to relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Zambezi River. There are great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets. Flocks of birds skim the waterline as the sun sets behind the African skyline. Clients may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, and elephant as well as enjoy the many different bird species. The sunset cruise is very popular and includes finger snacks, beer, wine, local spirits and soft drinks. 

You will be met this morning to start your scheduled tour of the falls. It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell; the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. Guests will be accompanied through the rainforest by one of our qualified Guides who will give a brief history of the falls s as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. 

After this experience you will head nearby to enjoy a scheduled lunch at the Lookout Café. Perched on the rim of the Batoka Gorge, the Lookout Café is a fusion of spectacular views and exquisite food. The African Contemporary styled restaurant is designed to emphasize its unique panoramic view of the Victoria Falls Bridge and Batoka Gorge, which forms part of the spectacular backdrop.

After a chance for a last morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the Manga Airstrip in Hwange NP. Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met and transferred to Verney’s Camp for three nights.

Situated on the central side of the popular south eastern part of Hwange National Park, Verney’s Camp is a private concession of 10 000 hectares. It is in an extremely remote part of the National Park that is neither frequented, nor can it be accessed by regular Park visitors. It is a beautiful amphitheater fringed by teak forest that opens up onto an impressive waterhole that is a playground to the famous elephant herds of Hwange. Ten tents are tucked perfectly under the shady arms of the teak trees bordering the open waterhole in front of camp. Each tent has been carefully positioned to ensure the best serenity and privacy so that guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Each room is comfortably appointed and has en suite shower, flush toilet, double vanity, all beautifully designed to retain the authenticity and magical feeling of being on safari. Verney’s Camp has eight double/twin rooms and two family rooms, all of which sit at ground level and are connected by natural pathways.

Game Drives
Game drives are conducted in the mornings and afternoon/evenings at camp. They usually last about three hours each and are conducted along the river systems and flood plains around the camp. The wildlife in the area is prolific and chances are good to see some of the larger predators, herds of elephant and buffalo and all the plains animals that occur here. Night drives are conducted in the early evening offering one a chance to see the smaller more nocturnal animals with spotlights.

Walking Safaris
Walking safaris are also conducted generally in the morning with armed guides. The walks are leisurely and time is taken to observe the smaller things in the bush that one normally misses when driving. Walking is weather dependent, or dependent on the condition of the terrain.

After a chance for a last morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to Robins airstrip for your flight to the Mana Pools airstrip. On arrival you will be met by your guide and transfer to Ingwe Pan Camp for three nights.

Ingwe Pan is situated at a secluded pan in the wilderness area of Mana Pools National Park, just a few kilometres inland of the Zambezi River and within walking distance of the Chiruwe river bed. The pan is one of the biggest in the park and is surrounded by a grove of large ebony trees. A magnificent fig and ancient ebony form the canopy of the main lounge and dining area of the camp. An ancient baobab is a few minutes walk from the camp and the perfect spot for picnics and sundowners in the evening.

Morning and/or late afternoon game walks. Ingwe Pan Camp offers the perfect environment in which to immerse yourself in nature by enjoying walking safaris. Walking safaris are particularly special in the Mana Pools National Park as the Zimbabwean guides are exceptionally experienced and highly regarded due to Zimbabwe’s stringent examination procedures. On your walk, your safari guide will draw your attention to the details that form part of a bigger story, such as beetles, animal droppings, scents, sounds and spoor.
