This short safari includes the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi with game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Kibale forest walk for chimp trekking.

Day 1: Kampala

You will be met on arrival by our representative and transferred to the Kampala Lodge B&B for an overnight rest.

Day 2: Lake Mutanda

This morning we drive to the west of Uganda, along mountain roads, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – where your gorilla tracking permits are held. Lunch will be en-route.

Day 3: Lake Mutanda

You will be escorted to the National Parks Headquarters after breakfast to meet your guides for the day for your gorilla trekking experience. An early morning trek into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes, led by experienced trackers, will bring you amongst a family of Mountain Gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare, with only approximately 650 remaining. You will get within metres of the family, and be privileged to spend time with them. Time permitting, return to camp for a late lunch with the opportunity for a forest walk with the guides, or just to relax.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a day of game drives in the park spotting wildlife.

Day 5: Kibale Forest

This morning we drive to Kibale after a morning game drive with the rest of the day to enjoy the region.

Departure Day

This morning you have the opportunity to go Chimp Trekking in the Kibale Forest. The trek not only gives you an opportunity to view these noisy primates, but also to observe this amazing ecosystem including monkeys, baboons, a diversity of bird life and butterflies. Later we make our way back to Kampala through the Ugandan highlands. Enjoy some curio shopping en-route.
