After an early breakfast, we set off for a full day of game viewing in the legendary Kruger National Park, one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries. Entering through Phabeni Gate, we embark on a slow-paced journey across the park toward Malelane Gate, immersing ourselves in a wilderness teeming with life. Covering nearly 20,000 km²—an area slightly smaller than Belgium—Kruger is home to an astonishing diversity of species, including the famed “Big 5” as well as hundreds of other animals and birds that make this ecosystem one of Africa’s richest.

What began as a small initiative in a cowshed in 1982 has grown into a thriving enterprise that now supports more than 200 local craftspeople.

We continue to Eswatini’s colourful craft market, where an array of carvings, beadwork, woven baskets, and textiles showcase the country’s rich artistic traditions. At the nearby Yebo Art Gallery, discover a curated selection of contemporary works by local artists. Begin your morning with an exhilarating open-vehicle safari through the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, where the first light of day brings the wilderness to life.
