On arrival at Bulawayo airport you will be met and transferred to the Matobo Hills area and Amalinda Lodge for the next three nights.

Amalinda Lodge is nestled among the most spectacular rock sceneries in the world, surrounded by the granite domes and castle kopjes of the Matobo Hills. Amalinda Lodge consists of nine individually thatched suites situated in amidst the boulders. Each suite has an ensuite bathroom built into the granite rock face, giving a unique accommodation experience. The standard suites have his & hers showers/outside bath, rock basin, tea & coffee stations, a lounge area, fan, mosquito net, wardrobe, hairdryers & electric blankets.
Over the next three days you will be lead by knowledgeable and professional guides through this enchanting area. The choice of activities include game drives into the Matopos National Park, tracking both black and white rhino on foot or by vehicle, explore world renowned caves and bushman paintings, take a historic trek to Rhodes’ grave and enjoy sunset hikes to the tops of granite dwalas. You’ll also have the opportunity to take a tour of an African homestead where you’ll have the chance to meet the local Matabele people and visit a clinic, traditional healer and local primary school.
