Explore three distinctly different parts of Africa combining the great wildlife of the Masai Mara in Kenya, the iconic Victoria Falls and finishing up with the exquisite beauty of Cape Town and the Winelands.

Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival you will be met and transfer to the Tamarind Tree Hotel for your overnight rest.

Day 2 - 5: Masai Mara

This morning your will transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Settle in to the Entim Mara Camp for the next four nights, which offers 12 luxury tents close to the Mara River. Entim was designed with a purpose in mind; to be in the best possible location to view the wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara game reserve. For a few months of the year the migration is on our doorstep on the Mara river. After lunch enjoy your first game drive in the Mara. Returning to the camp, enjoy some relaxation on your private veranda, sundowners and dinner in the central dining area. Spend your days on game drives in the Mara. The camp is situated right on the Mara River. It is these mighty rivers that are the greatest obstacles for the hundreds of thousands of wildebeest on their journey north. The currents are strong, the banks are steep and thousands perish in the jaws of massive Nile crocodiles. Crossings are spectacular and frenetic, and provide thrilling game viewing either from a vehicle or when simply relaxing in camp, watching from your own tent. The plains around the camp are filled with an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, from plains game to large herds of elephant and buffalo – and, of course, predators.

Over the next four days you will enjoy your choice of morning and afternoon game drives or full day drives with packed lunch in one of Africa’s most prolific wildlife arenas.

Day 6: Nairobi

After a short safari activity and breakfast you will be escorted to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi-Wilson. Transfer on arrival to the Four Points Nairobi Airport for your overnight rest.

Day 7: Victoria Falls

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Vic Falls (cost of flight not included). You will be met on arrival at Victoria Falls airport where you will transferred to the Batonka Guest Lodge for the next two nights to settle in.

This afternoon you will me met and transferred for your Zambezi Dinner Cruise. As the sun begins its descent, step on board our floating restaurant for an exceptional evening on the Zambezi River. Like the exquisite bird after which it was named “Malachite” is one of the Zambezi River’s crowing gems. On the upper deck, guests are offered a glass of sparkling wine to sip as they settle into the very comfortable furniture and relax before the journey along the Zambezi River begins; all the while looking out for the various bird life and animals there are to be seen and then watching as one of Africa’s famous sunsets erupts in the sky. After the sun has sunk below the river line, dinner is served on the lower deck of the vessel with the rich aroma of locally sourced, fresh ingredients. Time seems to stand still as the boat gently glides along to the sound of water lapping up against her sides. Far removed from the glare of city lights and noise, the moon and stars shine brightly in the sky and an atmosphere of mystery and romance envelopes the evening’s experience. After the experience you will be dropped off at Batonka Guest Lodge.

Day 8: Victoria Falls

After breakfast you will be met and taken for a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Walk through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view the largest falling sheet of water on earth, Livingstone’s statue and a wide variety of birds and plants.

This afternoon you may wish to undertake one of the many optional activities available such as Helicopter flights, Elephant interaction, game drives and more.

Your guide will stop in one of the areas for lunch.

Day 12: Cape Town

A free day to explore Cape Town and visit the V&A Waterfront area with its many cafes, shops and restaurants. From here, you may wish to go to Robben Island where from the 17th to the 20th centuries, the Island served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment, made infamous by its most prominent inmate, Nelson Mandela. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder to the price paid for freedom.

Day 13: Franschhoek

Today you will be pickup up for a full day guided Cape Winelands tour. The Winelands are set just an hour outside of Cape Town and blessed with heavenly scenery with breathtaking views. Passengers aboard the hop-on hop-off tour will experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Franschhoek Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards in a magnificent double-deck railway tram and an open-air tram-bus stopping in at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates. A combination of double deck railway tram and tram-bus transports passengers around a loop of stops allowing them to hop-off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, be it wine tasting, a cellar tour, lunch or simply a stroll through the vineyards and when they are ready, hop-on to continue the tour.
