Day 1: Johannesburg

On arrival in Johannesburg you will take the shuttle bus to the Peermont Mondior at Emperor’s Palace, conveniently located 5 minutes away from the airport.

Day 2: Kruger National Park, Timbavati

This morning you will check out of your hotel and return to the airport on the shuttle bus board your flight to Hoedspruit (cost of flight extra). Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Simbavati Safari Lodge in the heart of the Timbavati. Timbavati Game Reserve is situated on the Western boundary of the Kruger National Park and lies between the Klaserie, Umbabat, Manyeleti and Sabi Sand Reserves. In recent years, the fences separating Timbavati from the Kruger National Park were dropped, thus forming a pristine wilderness area of approximately four million hectares. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive, which transforms to a night drive seeking the nocturnal animals with a stop for a traditional afternoon sundowner.

Day 3: Kruger National Park, Timbavati

You have a full day at this wonderful property. While staying you will undertake morning, afternoon and evening game drives with the option of a bush walk led by a qualified ranger offering insight into the African ecosystems.

Day 6: Cape Town

Enjoy a last morning game drive and breakfast before being being transferred to the airport fro your flight to Cape Town (cost of flight extra). On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to the lovely boutique Blackheath Lodge set in vibrant Sea Point for your overnight rest.

Day 7: Cape Town

No visit to Cape Town is complete without a half day tour of the mother city itself. After departing the hotel we head for Table Mountain. Enjoy the crisp air and clear visibility as you reach the summit (weather permitting and cable car ticket extra). Our guide will point out the highlights of one of the worlds most famous views. After the decent we enjoy a scenic coastal drive through Clifton and Sea Point to the city centre where we visit Green Market Square. We stretch our legs with a walk through the Company Gardens. The tour continues with a drive past the Houses of Parliament, the City Hall, The Castle and Slave Lodge, before entering the "Bo Kaap", also known as the Malay quarter. The architecture in this area is typical of what Cape Town was like 200 years ago. We ascend Signal Hill to witness firing of the noon gun (except Sundays and Public Holidays). You will be dazzled by the diamond tour where we learn about the history of these sparkling gems before returning you back to your Hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to enjoy the sights of Cape Town.

Day 8: Cape Town

Today you will be collected at your hotel for your Cape Peninsula tour. Our journey to Cape Point takes us along the scenic Atlantic seaboard coastal road. We pass the pristine beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay with their soft white sand and assure blue water. The formidable 12 Apostles Peaks rise above the road on one side, while shear cliffs and incredible rock formations drop into the icy Atlantic Ocean on the other side. There is no doubt the coast of the Cape peninsula offers magnificent scenery with its great biodiversity. We arrive at the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay with its imposing Sentinel. Visit Seal Island (paid locally) or shop for souvenirs at the craft market at the harbor. Our tour continues over Chapman’s Peak which offers amazing photo opportunities, and onto the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This area is home to magnificent ‘fynbos’, many different species of buck and birds, the Cape Mountain Zebra, and mischievous baboons. These creatures entertain guests enjoying lunch at the restaurant which has splendid views of False Bay. Take the funicular (paid locally) to the lighthouse to see the meeting of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans at the Cape Point. We visit Boulders Beach to see the Jackass penguins (paid locally) before arriving at the naval base of Simonstown, and then we venture inland to our last stop of the day at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. With the sun setting over the tall peaks of Table Mountain the last rays sparkle on the trees and flowers, and offer a fitting end to a day filled with all the Cape has to offer.

Day 9: Cape Town

A free day to explore Cape Town and visit the V&A Waterfront area with its many cafes, shops and restaurants. From here, you may wish to got to Robben Island where from the 17th to the 20th centuries, the Island served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment, made infamous by its most prominent inmate, Nelson Mandela. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder to the price paid for freedom.

Day 10: Stellenbosch

Today you will be pickup up for a full day guided Cape Winelands tour. The Winelands are set just an hour outside of Cape Town and blessed with heavenly scenery with breathtaking views. The area’s rich with history, and you can’t help but feel it as you move through the region. You will make stops to experience a wine cellar tour, where you’ll learn all about the process of winemaking, from grape to goblet. Arriving in Stellenbosch, you will be check in to your boutique hotel in the heart of the wine country.

Day 11: Stellenbosch

You have a free day in the heart of the Western Cape’s wine region. You are free to explore the delightful little town of Stellenbosch with its many cafes, art shops and great restaurants. You may also wish to have the hotel book you another wine tour.

Departure Day

Enjoy a last morning free before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
