Overview

Magnificent Garden Route

The Magnificent Garden Route is a four-day guided journey from Cape Town to Gqeberha, covering the western end of the Garden Route corridor in a single well-paced drive. Departing Cape Town, the route heads south to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of the African continent, before turning inland through the Klein Karoo to Oudtshoorn, where two nights allow for a visit to the Cango Caves and a working ostrich farm. From Oudtshoorn, the road crosses the Outeniqua Pass into George before following the coast through Wilderness and Knysna, ending with a transfer east through the Tsitsikamma forest to Gqeberha.
