Staying in small and intimate camps set amongst the heart of the Delta, your safari options are plentiful including game drives, game walks, mekoro excursions, boat trips and even fishing! Day 1: Victoria Falls
After breakfast a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Walk through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view the largest falling sheet of water on earth, Livingstone’s statue and a wide variety of birds and plants. This afternoon you may wish to undertake one of the many optional activities available such as Helicopter flights, Elephant interaction, game drives and more.
Day 2: Victoria Falls
You are met on arrival at the airport after clearing customs. You will be transferred to Ilala Lodge, the closest accommodation to the falls. Enjoy a leisurely sunset cruise on the tranquil waters above the Falls, where canapés and sundowners are served, whilst you enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zambezi River and marvel at the beauty of an African sunset this evening.
Day 3: Chobe
Full day of game activities including drives in 4×4 open vehicles and boat cruises on the Chobe River.
Day 4: Chobe
After breakfast, a road transfer from your lodge to Botswana where you will complete border formalities and continue to Chobe National Park, 100km west of Victoria Falls. Chobe is home to 450 species of birds and the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Enjoy an afternoon game drive or sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River.
Day 5: Okavango
Enjoy a full day of activities at this wonderful camp with highly trained exclusive safari rangers. Morning and night game drives are conducted by specialist guides and trackers in open safari vehicles seating a maximum of six guests. Boat cruises along the Kwando River provide excellent opportunities for birding. Walks are at the guide’s discretion due to the high concentration of elephant. Lagoon Camp also offers fly fishing and spinner fishing for Tiger fish and bream.
Day 6: Okavango
A morning game drive followed by a transfer to Kasane for your scenic flight into the Delta. The 60-minute flight is a highlight in itself as you fly over one of the world’s most amazing ecosystems and spot wildlife from the air. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Lagoon Camp. The Kwando concession offers exclusive access to one of the most remote and unexplored wildlife strongholds left in Botswana. Morning and night game drives are conducted by specialist guides and trackers in open safari vehicles seating a maximum of six guests. Boat cruises along the Kwando River provide excellent opportunities for birding. Walks are at the guide’s discretion due to the high concentration of elephant. Lagoon Camp also offers fly fishing and spinner fishing for Tiger fish and bream. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 7: Okavango
Enjoy a full day of activities at this wonderful camp with highly trained exclusive safari rangers. There are plenty of activities available including day and night game drives, game walks and mokoro trips.
Day 8: Okavango
Awake with an early morning game drive and breakfast, after which you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your short flight to Pom Pom Camp. Pom Pom is located in the central reaches of the Okavango Delta in a private concession area to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve. Surrounded by wonderful Okavango scenery there are just nine large tents each with en suite showers which are open to the stars for a true bush experience. Activities are 60% land and 40% water – but dependent on water levels. Guests can choose from game drives, nature walks and mokoro excursions. Night drives in open 4×4 land rovers are also an attraction. Birding enthusiasts can enjoy Pels Fishing Owl, African Fish Eagle, Giant Eagle Owl, White Backed Vultures and a variety of other Okavango species.
Day 9: Nxai Pan National Park
After an early morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred by light aircraft to Maun to connect to your flight onwards.
Day 10: Nxai Pan National Park
Enjoy a full day of activities at this wonderful camp with highly trained exclusive safari rangers. There are plenty of activities available including game drives, day trips to the famous Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan, star gazing, as well as nature walks with Bushman trackers.
After an early morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your 55 minute flight to the Nxai Pan area. You are met and transferred to Nxai Pan Camp which is located on the western edge of the fossil pan from which the camp takes its name. The camp faces east over the open grasslands of the pans and accommodates a guests in nine thatched units specially designed to provide a constant and comfortable temperature throughout the year. Excellent game viewing is possible from the comfort of your rooms as the water hole in front of the camp draws a multitude of mammal species. Activities offered at Nxai Pan are game drives, day trips to the famous Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan, star gazing, as well as nature walks with Bushman trackers.
