This safari has it all form exciting wildlife, breath-taking scenery, insights into the culture and history of South Africa, and magnificent ocean experiences. The very best of bush and beach. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to partake in an interactive nature walk, focusing on biodiversity, adaptation, the importance of organisms, interdependence and the necessity for conservation.

Day 1 - 2: Cape Town

On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to Cape Milner Hotel where you will spend the next two nights.  In the afternoon we will enjoy a wine tasting & lunch at a local wine estate in Constantia. This evening you will meet your guide and the rest of the group for your pre-departure meeting at 18h00. The following day we explore the Cape Peninsula. Travelling along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, we stop at Maiden Cove look-out point before continuing to Hout Bay. Here you have the option to take a boat trip to Seal Island (seasonal and not included in the cost). We carry on over Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. In the afternoon we travel on to Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Kindly note the reserve entrance fee at Boulders Beach carries an additional cost.

Day 3: Oudtshoorn

This morning after breakfast our journey takes us to a region of startling beauty along South Africa’s southern coastline, known as the Garden Route and make our way to the town of Oudtshoorn. En route we will stop to visit the town of Robertson, where you can partake in the blending of your own wine at Excelsior Manor Guesthouse, as well as experience a tour of the cellar. Guests can experience the tradition of blending red varietals, bottle, cork and label their own wine and take home a little piece of the Cape. We arrive at our lodge in the late afternoon. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to partake in an interactive nature walk, focusing on biodiversity, adaptation, the importance of organisms, interdependence and the need for conservation.

Day 4 - 5: Knysna

After breakfast we take a trip to the famous Cango Caves, with their impressive ancient stalagmites and stalactites. We then head to Knysna and enjoy an interactive and educational oyster tasting experience before heading to your hotel. The next day is spent at leisure enjoying one of the many activities available in the area.

Day 6 - 7: Eastern Cape, Kariega Game Reserve

Today we continue our journey and make our way through the Eastern Cape. We have the opportunity to explore the Tsitsikamma Forest on a leisurely hike along one of the trails, which allow you to explore the coastal bush and rocky shoreline. We then make our way to our lodge situated in heart of the Kariega Game Reserve. In the late afternoon we depart on a game drive in search of African wildlife, with a stop to enjoy some lovely sundowner drinks. The next day we make an early start and depart on a river cruise along the glorious Kariega River. Here you will witness an abundance of bird and animal life while enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the river valley. We then return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and not long after you have the option to enjoy either enjoy a guided bush walk or alternatively, grab a canoe and paddle down river. In the evening enjoy the sights and sounds of the African bush as we head out on an evening game drive.

Day 8: Johannesburg

After breakfast we leave the behind the rugged bush and partake in the Route 67 walking tour in Port Elizabeth. The route consists of 67 locally created public art works which symbolises former President Nelson Mandela’s, fight for freedom in South Africa. We then make our way to Port Elizabeth International Airport and fly to the bustling metropolis of Johannesburg.

Day 9: Mpumalanga

Today we move further inland and spend the night in Hazyview. The day is at leisure lounging beside the pool or having a cocktail at the bar.

Day 10 - 11: Kruger National Park

Today we head into the Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa.  We fill the next two days with game drives in the hopes of spotting lion, leopard, elephant and rhino as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra and the numerous different types of antelope the park has to offer.

Day 12: Maputo

We leave the beauty of the Kruger behind us and make our way to the to the sandy white beaches of Mozambique. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 13 - 14: Ponta Mamoli

After breakfast we head south to White Pearl Resorts in Ponta Mamoli. Over the next two days you will get to enjoy an array of beach activities, from surfing, kayaking, snorkelling, shoreline fishing and beach picnics. Here you will wake up to the sounds of the waves lapping against the shore and have a chance to indulge in pure relaxation.

Day 15: Malelane

Today we leave the beaches of Mozambique and cross the border back into South Africa, making our way to Rio Vista Lodge, nestled on the banks of the Crocodile River.

Day 16: Johannesburg

After a hearty breakfast, we head back to Johannesburg, where you will overnight before your outbound flight.

Departure Day

Our tour ends after breakfast, where you will be transferred to OR Tambo International Airport.
