They usually last about three hours each and are conducted along the river systems of the Chobe area. The wildlife in the area is prolific and chances are good to see some of the larger predators, herds of elephant and buffalo. Night drives are conducted in the early evening offering one a chance to see the smaller more nocturnal animals with spotlights on the Chobe Forest Reserve.

Boat safari

Adventurers can recline in comfort on a riverboat cruise, as it gently navigates over the still water of the Chobe River. Revel in the breathtaking scenery of a sun drenched sky brushed with myriad pink hues, whilst sipping on decadent cocktails mirroring similar tints. The cruise affords guests an opportunity to view the Park’s wildlife from an unusual perspective, as they congregate around the river edge. Marvel at the mighty elephant splashing in the shallows, the dramatically horned roan antelopes grazing near the shore and the stealthy lions that rule over the plains.

Day 4 - 6: Khwai

This morning after a last game drive and breakfast you will transfer to Kasane for your light aircraft flight to the Khwai Concession area of the Okavango Delta and Machaba Camp for the next three nights. Machaba Camp is situated in the game rich Khwai area. The Khwai Concession is a 180 000 hectare reserve situated in the north eastern Okavango. All ten luxury tents are situated in the beautiful riverine treeline on the Khwai River, overlooking the famous Moremi Game Reserve. From these tented verandas one can watch the daily parade of animals coming down to drink at the river in front of camp. The food served at camp is a wonderful mixture of local cuisine flavoured and cooked in good old fashion home style cooking. The chefs come from Botswana and have many years working in the tourism industry preparing fine meals. The aim is to eat under the stars at night and vary the dining experiences with every meal.

This wild and pristine area has over the years produced some phenomenal wildlife encounters including the filming and studying of the African wild dog packs which inhabit this area. Accommodation is in ten luxury safari tents raised on wooden decks and decorated in a classic safari style incorporating the land and water of the Okavango delta. The food served at camp is a wonderful mixture of local cuisine flavoured and cooked in good old fashion home style cooking.
