Terms & Conditions
When you book with Safari Partners Travel Inc. (doing business as The Safari Partners) the following Terms and Conditions apply. Please ensure that you read and understand the Terms and Conditions before booking your holiday with us.
MAKING YOUR BOOKING
Prices: Prices are denoted in either US or Canadian dollars and are subject to change without notice. Failure to pay your full balance when due may result in your travel services being cancelled.
Deposits: A deposit is require to confirm your safari arrangements and depending on the tour will range from 10 – 30% of the total value with a minimum deposit of $750 per person. Custom quoted safaris are subject to the deposit amount indicated in the quote provided.
Travel Insurance: The Safari Partners requires that you have proper medical insurance to travel on any of our holidays and be able to prove in writing your coverage for medical insurance including repatriation and emergency evacuation. Failure to do so will result in refusal of passage on your tour. It is also highly recommended that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy including coverage for baggage, flight delay, trip interruption and trip cancellation.
Pricing: Prices include all mandatory taxes and service charges. Additional charges for personal effects, visas, vaccinations and those items specifically mentioned in the exclusions list of each trip may apply and are the responsibility of the purchaser. The Safari Partners reserves the right to make price adjustments that may become necessary because of park fee increases, currency fluctuations or fuel surcharges.
Refusal of Booking: The Safari Partners reserves the right to refuse any booking and decline any passenger at any time.
BOOKING CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
If You Change Your Booking: Any changes to your booking after full payment has been made and within 60 days of the travel date may incur a fee of $25 plus GST. Once travel has commenced, NO changes to the booking are permitted.
If We Change Your Booking: Travel arrangements can be prepared months in advance and sometimes it becomes necessary to make changes to your travel arrangements, even after you have confirmed or paid deposit on your travel arrangements. The Safari Partners will mitigate these changes where possible, however some circumstances may be unavoidable. Most changes are minor in nature but should a major change be necessary we will advise you or your travel agent as soon as possible. Major changes may include:
• change of destination;
• change of departure or return by more than 48 hours;
• change of the routing requiring additional traveler identification or documentation without sufficient time to obtain this documentation before departure;
• a major error in published rates.
Upon being notified of this major change you will have right to accept the change as presented, select an alternative package of equal or lesser value or request a full refund of the monies paid to The Safari Partners.
Force Majeure: The Safari Partners may not be able to refund in full for changes made because of war or threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, weather causing beach erosion, epidemics or health risks, technical or mechanical problems with transport, flight delays due to weather, government action, closed or congested airports or seaports, supplier insolvency and any events beyond our direct control.
If You Must Cancel: Should you wish to cancel your holiday, you must do so in writing and the cancellation penalties that apply will be:
More than 60 days: Loss of deposit and any permits that have been purchased.
60 – 0 days: 100% of total price paid.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Documentation: It is your responsibility to ensure you have the identification necessary for travel to your destination and it is your responsibility to obtain, at your expense, such documentation. Clients must have a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date) and be prepared to present government issued photo identification before boarding any flight. Landed immigrants without Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident Cards may be denied boarding upon return to Canada. If your travel documents are not in order you may be refused boarding and you will be responsible for any costs incurred in catching up with your tour and no tour refund will be issued. A criminal record can also lead to denial of entry or passage to destination.
Special notarized documentation may be required for unaccompanied minors and children under 18 travelling without both parents. Parents, especially those with different surnames from their children, should carry documentation proving custodial rights.
IN DESTINATION
Optional Tours & Activities: The Safari Partners is not responsible for optional activities or tours sold in destination by independent contractors. Optional tours offered in destination are all at extra charge, subject to change and availability.
Realities of the Destination: Travelling to other countries may bring realities that you are not use to at home. You may experience an interrupted supply of water and electricity, substandard local health conditions, and other standards that may not be of an acceptable standard at home. Illness or inconvenience resulting from the services provided or omitted at the destination are outside the control of The Safari Partners and is not responsible for such illness or inconvenience.
Your Conduct on Tour: Tour leaders and guides are responsible for the safety and well-being of the entire group. It is your responsibility to act in a respectful and responsible way. Should your conduct be deemed to be otherwise, you may be asked to leave the tour. No refund shall be provided for the remainder of the services not rendered. Should you incur illness while on tour, an effort will be made to ensure you receive proper medical attention within the realities of the destination. Any expenses paid on your behalf by the guide or the company will be recoverable from you.
ABOUT OUR TRIPS
Inclusions: Your vacation includes only the travel services purchased as detailed by the itinerary. Any exclusions are your responsibility.
Unused Services: No refund will be provided for any portion of unused travel services.
Presentation: Every effort has been made to ensure proper representation of accommodation, services and prices in the travel package material. The Safari Partners is not responsible for any misrepresentation of services by independent contractors. Weather, arrangements by tour operators and other uncertainties may vary the package. Photographs used in representation of the package are for promotional purposes only and The Safari Partners does not guarantee that everything will be exactly depicted as it may be on the ground.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM
Should you encounter a problem or concern while in destination, you must advise the local tour operator and/or The Safari Partners immediately. If the problem is not resolved while in destination, you have 21 days upon your return to notify The Safari Partners of your problem in writing. Failure to do so may result in delay of the resolution of this problem.
The Safari Partners is not responsible for any representations made by agents, tour operators, property owners, independent contractors or suppliers of any kind and they may not waive any provisions of these Terms & Conditions.
GROUND SERVICES
The Safari Partners takes care in selecting which ground handlers, tour operators, transfer companies and hotels we use in destination, however each are independent of The Safari Partners and The Safari Partners has no control over any errors or omissions they may be responsible for. The Safari Partners is not responsible for these errors and omissions. The services provided by these companies are subject to the rules and regulations of the country in which they operate.
The Safari Partners is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury, whether physical or mental, or to property, resulting from any delay, substitution or deficiency of quality of equipment or service, or any act, omission, or negligence of any of these independent parties, their agents, servants, employees or subcontractors supplying any of the services herein or for any claims for such loss, damage, or injury, whether physical or mental, arising there from, or from any claim that arises by reason of any action or omission of any party other than The Safari Partners.
The liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from omission, negligence or acts is limited to the price of the package paid.
By booking your holiday with us, you understand and accept the Terms & Conditions of your booking and understand and appreciate the risks inherent to travel in Africa. You do not suffer from any pre-existing medical condition or disability that would prohibit or hinder your participation in the travel services being purchased.
